Wikileaks is an organization which gathers information that governments and institutions do non want released and posts it o n the internet where everyone can read it. It is a system for untraceable mass document leaking.The founding and adjustment of wikileaks.org domain name was done on 4th October 2006 and was launched under the sunshine press organization. The founder of wikileaks was Julian Assange who was an Australian internet activist. The wikileaks site however states that it was founded by Chinese dissidents, journalists, mathematicians and startup company technologists from the US, Taiwan, Europe, Australia and South Africa. It was not until 2007 when Julian Assange was referred to as the founder of wikileaks. The advisory board consisted of Assange, Phillip Adams,Wang Dan, CJ Hinke, Ben Laurie, TashiNamgyalKhamsitsag, Xiao Qiang, Chico Whitaker and Wang Youcai.
